Patient-centered, more accessible health care for Des Moines metro-area residents is taking a major step forward with the building of Mercy Medical Center-West Lakes.
"More than 110 years ago, the Sisters of Mercy created a sacred trust with the people of Central Iowa," said Mercy President & CEO David H. Vellinga. "They committed their lives to providing access to compassionate health care for the entire community-regardless of a person's ability to pay. Though the landscape has changed and health care has evolved, needs remain.
